On the way out of town there are a bunch of shops in the ouroboric business of reselling the outdated tools of the timber trade. The big companies buy new, the medium size guys buy the used, and the freelancers get the old and rusty. One of these businesses is just a big old shed with a few trucks and dozers and a portable sawmill in the parking lot, and no indication that it's a business other than a crude sign nearby saying
TOOLS
EQUIP
SALE
The other day when I drove by, there was a card table with a china tea-set among the tractors, and another sign next to the main sign, cruder and smaller.
LADY STUFF TOO
That must mean them there feminine hygiene products needed by those lady loggers camping in the wilderness.
